I like to make things better…

I have about twenty-five years of varied IT experience, but it was my time in a leadership position that taught me that what I really crave is the opportunity to analyze systems and processes and make them more productive, more efficient, easier, and more fun; and I deeply believe in the power of experimentation to facilitate that process. I am therefore looking to make a transition to an analytical role, especially something in process improvement, operations/systems/data analysis or business analysis.

Running diagnostics, testing components and interfaces, replacing faulty parts, checking RAM, CPU etc.; testing and wiping hard drives; cleaning and preparing items for resale. Also harvesting working parts from non-working systems and listing systems on eBay for sale. Caught up a two-month backlog of eBay listing in first six weeks of employment. Refurbished laptops (Eg. Macbook, Dell latitude (and other Dell) HP, Lenovo, Asus, etc.), All-in-ones (iMac), Cisco switches, desktops (Eg. Dell Optiplex, other Dell, HP, Lenovo), Dell servers (PowerEdge), monitors, keyboards and other misc. electronic items.

Pomeroy (Now Getronics) | Boulder, Colorado

2016.08 — 2018.03: Computer Tape Operator / Hands & Eyes Support After my wife graduated from graduate school we were able to move back home to Colorado and I took about 18 months off to be with my one-year-old son. When I returned to work, IBM Midrange systems jobs being scarcer, I decided I needed to re-invent myself and find my way into more mainstream work. I started this at the Boulder IBM campus’ eight acres worth of raised-floor data center doing tier 1 H&E work: server reboots, inventories, escorts, cable checks, diagnostics, etc.
